I did not understand what is going on in the last 2 weeks with developing.
All Grids have the Problems that Sylvia tells.
Writing Mantis has no effect, no one of the develpoper ar interested in.
Loadtest are the last what is needed at the moment.
On our Grid we go back to a version of the 06.Oct.2009.
Is it possible that the commercial interests of IBM are growing in the developer comunity?
Why else are loadtests needed for now?
The most question my residents ask me, "didn't they test there Version before they put it into GIT repository?".
I have no answer for this. A very disapointed Hallow.....

Hi Sylvia

as to your q's

1. your not alone :), a lot of things seem a little rougher

2. i don't know, sorry

3. i have been trying out the release candidate of meerkat, really is pretty stable now, the production version i had probs with also.

one other thing: the forums have good response to posts, regarding lots of topics, just look under social menu on main page. :)

patiently being patient
Xing

take care all

Hi Guys,
I really do not understand a loadtest at this point.
1.Logging into OSgrid is a disaster last few days (1 out of 4). Starting at unintended very high altitude or stuck at coordinate 0,0. Staying alive also was never this much trouble ever in OSgrid. Or am I the only one with this much trouble?

2.Also I found that changing water and ground-texture heights messes the number in the last version(v0.6.8.0178387) and not in version(v0.6.6.25e7697) Reading articles from the past this could be a european decimal problem what is back which makes it harder to reproduce for you guys I guess. BUT please understand this only happens in the last(v0.6.8.0178387) version.

3. The Meerkat viewer is really not ready yet. I use it sometimes to copy items over from sl but its way way slower and more crashy then the Hippoviewer. well it is at least for me (win2K on an older machine)

One other thing: I searched but could not find any place where I could post my above findings of the last days. Is there a place to put remarks like above to let the creators know the users experiences after updates?

Keep up the good work. I love the Opensim and OSgrid initative and your hard work for it.
